There is also an appointment waitlist option.

Yes, I offer direct billing through eClaims for clients with extended health benefits. This means I submit your claims directly to your insurance provider at the time of service, so you only pay your portion rather than the full fee upfront.
Direct billing removes financial barriers to accessing care. Instead of paying the full session fee and waiting for reimbursement, your insurance coverage is applied immediately. You'll only pay any amounts not covered by your plan (co-pays), making it easier to commit to regular therapy without managing paperwork or waiting weeks to be reimbursed.
This service works with major insurers across Canada including Manulife, Canada Life, ClaimSecure, iA Financial Group, Belair Direct, and Desjardins. See the full list of insurers on the eClaims page.
Clarity Therapy accepts payment by bank e-transfer or credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
Yes, I provide direct billing to ICBC. You may be entitled to 12 clinical counselling sessions after your motor vehicle accident: https://www.icbc.com/claims/injury/Pages/medical-care-treatment.aspx
When you book your appointment online, it will prompt you to fill out an intake form. Please ensure this is completed online 24 hours before our visit so that I may review it in preparation for our time together. Some clients keep journals or like to jot down notes—feel free to use these tools during our counselling session if it helps you in recalling feelings or facts about situations, or to take notes while we are talking.
The office is located in East Vancouver, near Renfrew Street and East 1st Avenue, accessible by bus or car. Free parking is available on the street. Please note that the office is located in the basement suite of a house, with a separate entrance.
I meet you where you’re at. This can take the form of me listening to you, collaborative problem solving, asking questions, providing insight—or any combination of these. I provide a safe, confidential place for you to express those feelings and thoughts. You can expect kindness, support, humour (at the right time) and no judgement. Read more about my approach to therapy here.
In our first session we’ll go through your history, your expectations and why you are seeking counselling. Always feel free to ask questions. If you feel nervous, that’s completely normal. We then start to focus on your concern(s) by agreeing upon the direction together, goal setting and deeper discussion.
It’s difficult to estimate how many sessions are needed from the outset. People seek counselling for many different reasons. Generally there is a feeling of discontent or confusion that needs to be addressed; stressors that need identifying; or a challenge that he or she is seeking help with. Each situation is unique and requires at least a few sessions to benefit from counselling. Relationship and emotional patterns usually take years to develop, and therefore some time to modify.
Please provide 24 hours’ notice. If insufficient notice is given, the session fee will be charged. All cancellations should be made through the online booking system.
If you require a change in time, please cancel your first appointment and then rebook using the online scheduling calendar.
