Relationship Counselling Vancouver

Relationships can be wonderful and supportive, but at times stressful and difficult to navigate. Strong relationships require effort, communication, and sometimes professional support. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and psychotherapist, I help couples and families navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and create healthier patterns of relating.

Whether you’re facing communication breakdowns, trust issues, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected, therapy provides a safe space to address what’s not working. Together, we’ll identify the underlying dynamics and develop practical tools to strengthen your bond.

I work primarily with couples, though I also support parent-child relationships and broader family dynamics. My goal is to help you move from frustration to understanding, and from conflict to connection.

Why work with me?

With Gottman Method training (Levels 1 and 2) as well as mediation and conflict resolution training, I bring evidence-based approaches to relationship counselling. I’ll help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and give you concrete strategies to improve how you relate. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Common Questions on Relationship Counselling

Is relationship counselling for couples or individuals?

Both. Couples counselling addresses shared concerns like communication patterns, conflict resolution, and rebuilding connection. Individual therapy can help you understand your role in relationship dynamics, set healthy boundaries, or process relationship challenges on your own.

What are your rates?

Counselling fees are $150 per 50 minute session.

If you book under CVAP, your fee will be $70 (CVAP pays for $80).

Is counselling covered by healthcare benefits?

Coverage for counselling in Vancouver depends upon your or your spouse’s healthcare plan. I offer direct billing for most major insurance providers, so your coverage is applied immediately and you only pay your portion at the time of service. If your insurer isn’t part of the direct billing network, I’ll provide you with a receipt to submit for reimbursement.

Do you offer counselling sessions by phone or video?

I offer both. You may book phone counselling or online video appointments instead of in person. I also provide check-ins for clients who are moving forward on their own, but may want to connect with me on their progress every now and then. Check-ins for established clients are 30 minutes.
